CimCim Kitchen is a Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant located in Astoria, Queens. It is owned and operated by Flavors’ Omar Motair.
CimCim meaning “sesame” in the Western world, is an ancient spice known for its enduring strength and distinctive flavor. It’s been known across Europe and the Middle East as a healthy and robust source of sustenance for thousands of years.
The concept aims to become a destination for those looking to unwind from city life and connect with their community. The creative is influenced by the Mediterranean lifestyle and its pillars of wellness, simplicity, laughter, and sharing with loved ones.
We have so many meals over the course of our lives.
Our vision is that this meal feels a little different.
Because a meal is never really about eating, is it?
A meal is really a moment.
To come together.
Connect with people, right here and now by sharing a pita, a laugh, a story.
Connect with your neighborhood by creating a space for everyone to use. Ordering produce from local farms. Hiring local employees and artists.
Connect with the world by embracing food from around the world. Doing the right thing for the environment. And welcoming every culture that walks through the door.
That’s the Mediterranean way.
From local to global, explore the world starting at our table.
Local Food for Global Citizens.
